Abstract—For the sake of assessing thephotometricperformanceofvehicleheadlightswithastandardized,accurateandreliable method,theCIE188TechnicalReportspecifiesthemethodsto assess the photometric performance of vehicleheadlighting systems. In order to verify the rationality of themethods describedinthisreportandthesuitablenessofthemethodsif used in China, three subjective rating tasks were conducted.The comparison between the resultscalculated according to CIE188 TechnicalReport and subjective rating scores indicatedthe necessity of further research of the methods described inthis report before they were promoted inChina.
