KEY TECHNOLOGIES INVESTIGATION ON AUTO LAMP FULL CYCLE DESIGN BASED ON THE COST Xiangbing LI, Xiaolong JIA, Shuai ZHU, Peng WANG, Qinyun YUAN (Dongfeng motor corporation research and development institute,Wuhan,Hubei,430056) E-mail: lixiangb@dfmc.com.cn ABSTRACT: during the development of auto lamp, how to optimize the technology to ensure the maximum profit, and how suppliers participate the activities of project to get larger possibilities of success and maximum profit, are the very popular subjects among the automobile industries. By referring to the composition of full cycle auto lamp cost and the way of supplier joining the projects during the development, the paper put forward the auto lamp design model based on the DFC (design for cost) and fully analysis of the key technologies to balance the cost, quality and performance from the perspectives of performance target definition, light-weight implementations, after-sales maintenance, auto lamp module conception, reasonable redundant design etc. By practicing the strategy and methodology stated during the comprehensive value chain in the project, great benefit is present, which will be a reference on cost-saving for the future project.
