Abstract—Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) as a pricision 3D imaging sensor became one of the key devices in autonimous driving. Nomally long range LiDAR mounted on the front of the veichel, near to the position of headlamp. If LiDAR can be installed in the headlamp, this will be great helpful for its application due to the headlamp usually combined housing, outer lens, electronic system, cooling system, some also with cleaning system together. This paper expected to study the possibility of integrating LiDAR in headlamp and the problems might be met . The influence of headlamp outer lens curvature on LiDAR angle accuracy was calculated, results shown that small curvature radius has a great influence on angle accuracy. LiDAR mounting position, spacial and thermal relavant problems were also discussed separately.
