Abstract—With the popularization of connectivity and intelligence in the automotive industry, people hope that cars will become more intelligent. In-car intelligent ambient light (IIAL) is an application based on this background. This paper is divided into three parts to introduce the IIAL. The first part introduces the main applications of IIAL, including different applications in different scenarios such as interconnection, anthropomorphic interaction, multi-mode interaction, smart assistants, driving safety, smart scenes, etc., it will also introduce the basic structure of IIAL, electronic drive scheme, software and hardware framework. The second part introduces the extended in-car applications of IIAL, such as music rhythm, fatigue monitoring, etc.. It will focus on introducing the combination of IIAL and music rhythm which will greatly increase driving pleasure, and the basic scheme of its implementation will be introduced. The last part introduces the application scenarios which combined the IIAL and the whole car, such as pedestrian monitoring and warning, front-vehicle radar image display, etc.. This can create a linkage effect between internal and external of the car, and bring a more intelligent driving experience to drivers and passengers.
