Experimental research on internal environment changes inside headlamp under actual vehicle usage and guidance for headlamp fogging prevent recommendation

Abstract— Environment inside the vehicle headlamp contributes decisively to the fogging phenomena on the outer lens of headlamp. The environment inside the lamp is affected by multiple factors in a complex way, such as the water absorption of the lamp itself, the internal and external environmental exchange of the lamp, the frequency of vehicle using and so on. Based on a certain vehicle headlamp, this article studied the inside temperature and humidity change pattern under the influence of various external environments throughout a year. Meanwhile certain recommendations for fogging prevention are proposed according to the data analysis.
