Abstract—Reading lamps are part of the interior lighting system of a car ,which is a kind of device that provides lighting function to passengers without causing safety issues for vehicles while running. With the development of the automobile, the reading lamp has developed from simple function and simple styling with bulb to multi function and complex styling with LED. This article will introduce the optical design and simulation methods for several kinds of reading lamps to make you a better understanding of the reading lamp.
