Challenge in fulfilling the upcoming demands of pedestrian protection

Introduction

Automotive Industry is interested to be in line with new trends and legislation of Pedestrian Protection. The trend is to reach for 5 stars Euro NCAP and legislation to protect pedestrians. As the entire part of engineering process considering headlamps of new generation we have to respect this and take action. Now upcoming second phase and later on third phase of pedestrian protection demands in line with new evaluation of star rating for Euro NCAP changed the rules of game significantly. We have to control this situation.

The upcoming second phase demands are still harder to fulfill. What has changed in HDLP design to meet current Pedestrian Protection limits? What must be changed in close future or now to be able to satisfy new standards for pedestrian  safety?
