Modular solutions to address range and style evolutions

Flexibility for styleis made possible by the use of either reflector, either lenses solutions, whichare now available in many shapes and dimensions (down until now 40 mm on themarket). Flexibility in performances is made possible thanks to the use ofdifferent quantities of LED, different types of multichips LED (2x1 to 5x1chips arrays), and even different types of LED themselves and their coolingsystem. The major drawback of this approachis that then the necessary engineering workload to develop a new lamp, as wellas the huge amount of new tooling which may be required makes many times thesesolutions very expensive in the end. In order to avoid this drawback,Valeo Lighting Systems has developed a complete portfolio of solutions whichare both standard and customizable : starting from standard solutions used onseveral products to reduce developments cost, adaptations have been made so that they can beeasily applied on different vehicle platforms, from entry level to high range.Examples of such applications, with lens and with reflector types, aredescribed in this presentation which shows also performances andfunctionalities evolutions. |
