Headlamp De-condensation Performance Evaluation System Investigation

AbstractIn order to solve condensation in lamps of the Automotive, designers often use desiccants or anti-fogging coating. However, the life of desiccants or anti-fogging coating is short than that of the lamps, so once they are out of work the problem is still exists.   So in order to find the ultimate solution, this paper discusses the establishment of evaluation system for the precautions of condensation. Here we can converts the vehicle operating environment and customer requirements into test methods and criteria for condensation, so we can make proper design to meet the expectation of client. This paper recommends we should promote the ability of optimizing structural design for de-condensation, reduce the using of desiccants or anti-fogging coating. Then the cost can be declined, and this idea is more environmentally friendly.
