Abstract—Display is a necessary device for future automobiles. In the process of driving at night, due to the lighting condition of driver’s cab, there may be errors in the recognition of display information by drivers. In this paper, depend on the real traffic situation, we choose three typical scenes. These three scenes include night mode, daytime mode and dynamic mode. Night mode has 12 conditions, Daytime mode has two conditions and Dynamic mode has two conditions. Under these conditions, subjects were22.5 asked to observe each light condition, and finish cockpit night light quality satisfaction evaluation form, deBoer rating scale and perceived uniformity evaluation scale, as well as Landolt rings task outside window and Ann Fermo J task on display screen. The results of this research will give some strategies of lighting design for driver’s cab display. Keywords-Display; lighting; evaluation; styling; insert |
