Nowadays, sustainability is becoming more and more important in our daily life and also automotive industry. To be able to reduce the CO2 footprint is our daily target, as an individual and as an engineer like me.

Automotive lighting and especially exterior lighting (Headlamp, rear lamp) is one part of the scope, even if it may be just a small part. When we talk about sustainability, we usually talk about the 4 steps below:

1) Raw material production

2) Refining (exterior lighting component production + car production)

3) Use

4) End of life treatment
