Abstract—Duringthe automotive lighting development process, testing and validation play a verycrucial role to ensure that all lamp designs meet the required performance, durability and reliability targets.Sometimeseven when the lamp has met all of the design validation and testingrequirements, it might exhibit failure modes under certain real-world usageconditions. In this event it becomes essential to understand these internal and externalnoise factors which resulted in a failure of the component. This paper presents a data monitoring andacquisition system, based on Internet Of Things, which can provide real-timedata from a vehicle mounted lamp under test conditions, equipped with sensorsin any geographical location to collate contribution variables.
