Investigation on Headlamp Condensation and Its Countermeasures

Abstract-condensation of headlamp, always complained by final customers, is regarded as the difficult issue to solve among the automobile industries. Due to the special structure conception and temperature imbalance  inside headlamp, it is hard to find a way to ensure all location inside headlamp have same temperature, pressure and intensity, and therefore the possibility to form condensation emerge. Condensation is bad not only for the perceived quality, but also for the driving security during night. Current way to counter this phenomena is expensive and not so efficient. to find a better way to improve headlamp performance, the paper focus on the mechanism of condensation formation and analyzing the possible way to reduce condensation. By analyzing from perspective of  temperature field, intensity field and pressure field,  the paper points out the causes that leads to condensation and sumerize the way to eliminate the condensation based on the current know-how in automobile industry.
